Public BBQ Rules & Facilities
West Coast Council has BBQ and picnic facilities at Lake Burbury Campground (scenic lakefront east of Queenstown, bring your own water and firewood). Council maintains playgrounds and public parks throughout the municipality.
BYO BBQs are subject to Tasmania Fire Service restrictions.
During Total Fire Ban: Only electric and gas BBQs permitted.
Check fire restrictions at fire.tas.gov.au.
Lake Burbury Campground: No prior booking required. Camping fees payable upon arrival.
Visitors must bring their own water and firewood.
